As of this morning at 8am, PST, the Admissions Committee has extended one of two decisions to all Round 1 applicants: 1) an invitation to interview (all admitted students are interviewed) or 2) denied without an interview. While we disliked the idea of denying applicants so close to the holiday season, in the end, we felt it was necessary to reduce the angst and uncertainty of the application process.

The decision to deny applicants is always a difficult one. There are individuals we get to know well through the application process who are terrific, but are unable to admit. Unfortunately, there are many more qualified applicants than our class of 360 permits. Many of these individuals will pursue an MBA elsewhere or otherwise go on to achieve many great things. Other individuals will bolster their candidacy through additional academic, work or leadership training to reapply and be admitted at a later date.
