Admissions Officer on the Road: Washington, D.C.
After finishing the MBA Tour in Boston this past Saturday night I hopped a flight to our nation’s capital for the MBA Tour events in D.C. on September 12. My body was still on west coast time so the grey, drizzly morning came quickly. I started the day on a panel giving prospective MBA’s the inside scoop on how admissions decisions are made. Then I had the chance to deliver two presentations to D.C. professionals interested specifically in UCLA Anderson. Alumnus Chris Tam ’06 and I were kept busy at the fair and spoke with many MBA hopefuls from the public sector.
After a long day of recruiting I decided it was time to get out of the hotel and experience the city. I headed out with a few fellow admissions officers from other schools. We took a river cruise to see the national monuments at night, followed by dinner in Georgetown (excellent crabcakes at Clyde’s) and a walk through Foggy Bottom all the way to the White House. I always enjoy my time in D.C. and this trip was no exception!
