UCLA Anderson in Asia – Notes from the road

Greetings from India! Today is the beginning of our second week traveling through South Asia with the MBA Tour. During this trip I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing applicants from many different industries and diverse educational backgrounds. I look forward to reading their applications over the next few weeks and months.
My first stop was Bangkok followed by Singapore, last week, and then Bangalore, just yesterday. This week, we will continue on to Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai and then back to New Delhi for one more UCLA Anderson school presentation to wrap up our Asia tour for the season. Yesterday’s event in Bangalore drew a large crowd of several hundred people. I had the pleasure of conducting a school presentation for a standing room only hall with over 200 participants. Each stop on this tour has been a great learning experience about our international applicants, their cultures and business in general in each of their respective cities. I am coming away from Asia very impressed by the quality and sophistication of our international prospective applicants –From the kindness and generosity of the Thai, the sophistication of the Singaporeans to the contagious enthusiasm of our applicants from Bangalore. I look forward to sharing more of my impressions from the road on my next few posts.
Last but not least, a big thanks to our alumni who have come out to meet with prospective students on each of our stops with us.
