UCLA Anderson Application Insider: So you’ve submitted your application… now what?
This blog post is part of our “Application Insider” blog post series that provides insider information, tips, and advice about applying to the UCLA Anderson MBA program.

APPLICATION INSIDER TOPIC:
AFTER YOU SUBMIT YOU APPLICATION
Now that you’ve submitted your application, one of the most difficult parts of the application process begins… the waiting. Although the time between submitting your application and receiving a decision can be stressful, there are plenty of ways to keep busy while learning more about our program and student community.
For those of you who live in the Los Angeles area or have the option of visiting campus, we welcome you to take advantage of the on-campus events offered through our Campus Experience. By participating in a Campus Experience, you can participate in a class visit, school tour, information session, coffee chat and/or lunch with a student (available options are dependent on the date of your visit). If you are able to visit campus, we would also recommend that you reach out to some of our students ahead of time to let them know of your scheduled visit. If you want to learn more about a particular club, you can email club officers by visiting their club page. You can find our full list of club listings on our Clubs and Associations page.
If you are unable to visit campus, there are still several ways for you to learn more about our program and students. As mentioned above, you can email students from a particular club to learn more about their experiences in the program by visiting our Clubs and Associations page. You can also begin a conversation with a student via our Connect with a Student option. The Connect with a Student option allows you to submit a question of your choosing to our student community. A member of our Admissions Ambassador Corps (AAC) will connect you with a student who can best respond to your question. We also offer admissions webinars and LiveGuide sessions via our online admissions events. LiveGuide sessions are a great way to learn about a particular students MBA experience through their first-hand account.
Why is it important to still continue to learn about our program? By taking advantage of all of the above-mentioned opportunities to learn more about our program, it may help you be better prepared for our interview if you are invited (interview invitations are still currently being sent out!). Further, going to business school is a big commitment, so it’s best if you’re as fully informed as possible about how you could potentially be spending the next two years!
In addition to all of the above, also make sure to give yourself a chance to take a break, relax, have dinner with your friends, and congratulate yourself on finishing a very important milestone on your journey of personal and career growth!
